We love this Perfumer Base as it has been formulated specifically with crafters in mind! This Perfume Base is great for making high quality perfume blends as the only thing you need to do is add your favourite scent! This Perfumers Alcohol Base works with most fragrance oils and essential oils and is the easiest way to make products such as Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and Perfume!

  • Ingredients: SD-40B 200 Proof Perfumers Alcohol, Propanediol 1,3, Dipropylene Glycol LO Perfume Grade
  • INCI: Alcohol Denat., Propanediol, Dipropylene Glycol
  • Works well with most fragrance and essential oils. With some essential oils that may naturally contain moisture, occasional clouding may occur due to insolubility

 

Maximum fragrance load with this base is 30%

  • Expected percentages to create Eau de Toilette: 15%-18%
  • Expected percentages to create Eau de Parfum: 19%-22%
  • Expected percentages to create Perfume: 23%-28

Easy to use

My first time using any perfume base and I like it. Easy to use, can only smell the additives I put it. Would but again.

Not My Favourite

I don't think this perfume base is ideal for fine fragrances. While the added Propanediol 1,3 and DPG does help longevity, this base really kills the projection of my perfumes when compared to the standard SD-40B ethanol.

Best I've found

This is the only perfumer's alcohol base I'll use. This is the closest to odorless base I've found and when you mix it with your fragrance, there is no alcohol smell. You can only smell the fragrance you're using. It lasts all day, brings out the fragrance beautifully, and overall performs amazing. About a month ago, voyageur was out of this product so I had to purchase from another company. I tried mixing that base with one of my fragrance oils today and it smells very faint and like alcohol. Right after, I purchased another order of this perfume base and I'm not using anything else. It's the best.

Not a fan!

I thought I would try this base as I do not like the odour left by rubbing alcohol in my perfumes but it also leaves a lingering chemical smell. A bit disappointed as I tried fragrance at 5,10 & 25% still could not cover the smell. If you like to make with alcohols you may be satisfied but I personally only want to smell my fragrance oil.
