  • Additional Notes: In Cold Process Soap we recommend using fragrances at a lower soap making temperature, approximately 110°F, and adding the fragrance at a light trace. We test our fragrance oils using a soap formula that does not trace quickly at a soap making temperature of 110°F. As soap formulas can vary, we recommend customers do their own small test batch to ensure the fragrance performs well in their own formula.

The amount of usage will differ based on the appropriate scent level for the specific product being produced. For additional details regarding the maximum safe usage level, refer to the IFRA in Documents. However, determining the actual usage should be based on the desired fragrance strength and the product's capacity to hold the fragrance.

5 stars for smell, not fun to work with in CP

This fragrance is one of my favorites and smells just like a real plumeria flower. I feel like the compounds in this fragrance has changed as I've used it before in CP years ago when I was more of a beginner in soap making and didn't have any issues with it, however like many of the other reviews, I ran into issues using this in my recent CP soap recipe. I mixed the oils at a temp of 102 and I mixed the fragrance in last after all my colors and bringing it to a light/medium trace. I mixed with a spatula VS the stick blender. Almost immediately, little clumps began forming -i wouldn't fully call it ricing as it wasn't consistently throughout the soap but more like little random chunks started forming. So I quickly tried to do a swirl and just dumped it into the mold! I put my mold in the oven in hopes that the extra heat might help dissolve the clumps, i dunno...lol we will see what it looks like tomorrow. It smells wonderful tho! ;)

Was worried it would be too florally but it was actually a really nice scent.

Tricky in cold process, but very pleasant fragrance

This fragrance oil smells very lovely. It is a little finicky in cold process soap, but will work for you as long as you are working with softer oils at room temperature, and you do not use titanium dioxide. TD will make it rice and accelerate. Now that I've gone through the trial and error, I probably would use it again, but it is a little limiting. Don't use it if you are planning complex designs, but if your pattern is simple and you work quickly, you will end up with a nice smelling bar of soap.

Good for Melt and Pour soap

I tried to use this fragrance in cold process and it riced immediately! I'm relatively new to soap making so I was very discouraged thinking that it was just me, but was glad to see that I'm not the only one upon going back and reading reviews.

However, it has a beautiful fragrance so I was determined to still use it and added it into a Melt and Pour project, and it worked beautifully. So now I still got some beautiful soap that smells amazing!
