Benzoin essential oil offers a rich, sweet, and woody aroma with subtle hints of vanilla. Traditionally recognized for its fixative properties in perfumery, this pourable solution simplifies incorporation into various applications.

Common Uses: Widely utilized in aromatherapy, body care products, hair care, cold process soap making, and melt and pour soap making.
Directions: For aromatherapy, add a few drops to a diffuser. In soap making, incorporate approximately 1-3% of the total weight during the cold process or melt and pour phases. Adhere to fragrance load guidelines in candle making. Always consult specific guidelines for each essential oil and product type.
Blends Well With: Sandalwood, Cypress, Frankincense, Juniper, Coriander, Myrrh, Orange.

I don't think it's for CP soap

Wow, what a CRAZY acceleration!!! I usually like to read reviews before purchasing any ingredients for my soaps. Decided to give this one a try because someone wrote it worked great for them. I do not recommend this for cp soap, as soon as I added my lye (didn't even have a chance to stir) it got so crazy thick I had to scoop it fast into my mold. Not sure I am going to use this soap now as I didn't have a chance to mix it.
Out of the bottle it didn't really have much of a scent. Not sure how it will behave in other products as I haven't tried anything else yet. So, one start is only for how it behaved in cp soap

Great fixative.

Makes a great fixative for perfumes and other body products. It has a faint beeswax smell which pairs nicely with most scents and is easily covered.

Makes EO's scents last.

I use it in CP soaps and don't have acceleration in coming to trace. It makes the EO's I use in CP soap last for up to a year. Love it..

Easy to use but no scent

While I appreciate the intent here, the benzoin is cut with DPG to the point of having barely any smell.

Do not use in CP soap

This product is not suitable for cold process soap. I had tried it in small amounts blended with other essential oils* and it was ok, but anything more than just a hint and my entire batch accelerates, rices and becomes ruined. Not worth it.
*please see previous reviewer’s comment about the synthetic base of this product. Being listed as an essential oil does not seem legitimate.
