Orange 5-fold Essential Oil, derived through cold pressing of the orange peel, presents as a yellow to dark orange liquid with a sweet, fresh, fruity, and citrusy scent. This concentrated oil, extracted from the evergreen orange tree with dark green, glossy leaves, spines, and fragrant white flowers, boasts a sweet pulp without bitter membranes. With origins in China and extensive cultivation in America and the Mediterranean, orange oil finds frequent use in aromatherapy, and fine toiletries.

Orange 5-Fold Oil is more concentrated than regular citrus essential oils. The fruit itself has a sweet pulp with no bitter membrane. Through extended distillation, terpenes are removed from the oil, rendering it more suitable for cosmetic applications.

Works

I use this in both soap and candles and works just fine. I have had a soap I made with it sit on my shelf for months and it still holds the scent.

Not potent

I sought out a 5-fold in hopes it would be stronger than a regular orange essential oil. Alas, it is milder, and cannot hold its scent. Even just hitting the air, it dissipates too fast. Adding it to soap doesn't seem to work even with a rounded blend with base notes anchoring it. Just sniffing it straight from the bottle is extremely light, like it's pre-diluted. It did leave an oily residue on my test strip/blending paper, which normally does indicate an inferior oil (mixed with a carrier, so, not pure but no dilution listed). It was very cheap and I took a chance, but don't know how I can use up the bottle.
