Not what others said

I'd prefer to not leave a rating since everyone likes different scents and from the other reviews my nose must be broken but this smells so strongly of cat pee out of the bottle to me! I don't smell the wood smell, and only faintly of cedar. It's completely ruined my soap (to me) although I will say it doesn't smell like cat pee anymore in the soap, so a plus(?) but sadly is still an equally gross smell. I'll let it sit and hopefully the other FOs I added will shine through more.

Wonderful

What a wonderful cedar smell. Strong, woody and softly nuanced with some sweetness.

when it is good, it is very very good...but when it is bad, it is horrid

The reviewer below says "strong yet nuanced". This is true. I find the strength and the nuances challenging to anticipate, as the character of this EO seems to change with the temperature and the weather, or the day of the week. The softer notes are sweet, warm, and woody. The stronger notes, which seem to rise the top of the bottle, are sharp and catty. I am still learning how best to blend this oil, to bring out the softness, and lose the sharpness.

Gorgeous

A strong yet softly nuanced cedar wood oil. I have tried many varieties, but this is my favorite. It adds a wonderful, lasting base note to CP soap, and blends beautifully with other oils.
