Potassium Sorbate is a widely used food preservative that is gaining popularity in natural cosmetic products. While Potassium Sorbate has shown to be an effective preservative in a wide range of personal care products, it is not on its own a full spectrum preservative and should be used in conjunction with other preservatives.

Easy to use and stable

I have been using this coupled with sodium benzoate in my cleaning products for years and I have never had an issue with any of the products. Be aware that this does give distilled water a slight yellowish brown tinge, doesn't matter for cleaning products but you may notice it if you are making a clear gel, it's just a slight discolouration. Also be aware that it doesn't like extreme ph's so add it at the point when the ph is neutral.
